Group Stages

5 Man Team will be played to a league format with 1 team from each section qualifying for the semi-final
league matches start Thursday 17 June 8pm for 6 weeks till 22 June, the semi-final's being at Windsor & Railway on the 29 july thursday 8pm. The Final will be held in Blazers on 5 Aug thursday at 8pm.

the rules we play for the last season 2009-10 will be used, only 5 players for a team each week they must have been registered from the 09-10 season(the season thats just past), 10 frames (singles) in total to be played.
Silver Tassie will play from Molly Malones
Windsor & Bayview have dropped out from last season's league, as the windsor were to hold a semi-final venue this will probably be changed, i think the only team that never got a semi or final last season was empire are they 1st reserve

it was touch and go if we could get 5 but we did, as maxwells never had a team, if we didnt turn up with a team they would have got the points for not halving a team but were the home team.

after we managed to get 5 players it was of to maxwells, we got there for 10 to 8, with a couple in the corner bitching at each other about what a do not know, the bar staff were asked are we through the back no she said it's the table in the bar we use, i went through the back and the table is not there any more, what a let down after playing the 100 ball final there, it was perfect and level. any way we asked who was part of the team no one so we had a few games of pool to wait for any players to turn up, the table did have a nice new cloth but seemed to role off, we waited till 8.10 then left.

another week with no game versus maxwells, are they gonna play any of their last 2 games ?

they should have been thrown out the competition after 3 games in my opinion, its turned into a joke traveling to maxwells and there is no one there

will maxwells be the first team to drop out the levenmouth pool league, and how many others will drop out with the blackball rules

it don't look good for this social league

it looks like this weeks game v auld hoose and den inn will decide who goes into the semis, blazers away at argyle with argyle needing to win or maybe a draw to stay in the competition
tassie and brig look like being in the semis

They need to get their heads round the fact that the Blackball rules are the way forward, if u want the game to develop in ur area then u need to keep up. The league can still be classed as a social league no matter what rules r played.
