Re: Venues - Douglas to Windsor
Unbelieveable, the venues with 11 and the 2 go through may be in for a very long night. The worst possible senario must be looked at when organising something like this, so if all turn up and all matches go to the wire it is 27 frames of pool to be played.
4 go through at two of the venues whats that all about when u have other venues with the same amount of players that only 2 go through from.
Now we have 16 teams in this league with no pub having a second team, the buck has two tables so why did they not make it 16 venues with 2 through from all of them
145 players have entered this so it could have been 15 venues with 9 and 1 with 10 and 2 go through from them all, very simple I would have thought

Not at all a spotted it right away as soon as I looked at the sheet last night, a simple solution is usually the best

Re: Venues - Douglas to Windsor
some venues have less well known players than others (no mention of bad or good players) so i've made my predictions for the 19 february singles - could well be totally wrong in fact i was struggling to pick from some venues.
Argyle and Ahb - with 4 qualifying from each i've gone with anybody to qualify
Ahw - any windsor player and R Methvin
Blazers - S Murray
Brig - G Watson and K Purves
Buck - B Thomson and R Clark
Den - N Johnston and Baba
Douglas - S Wedderburn (brig) and S Fowler
Empire - C Saunders and P Gordon
Kirkland - J McIlroy and G Cascarino
Maxwells - I Murray and A Rodgers
Sunbeam - C Corcoran and anybody else
Toll - Mints and D Allan
Windsor G Barclay and K Wardhaugh
and my prediction for the title this year BT

Well said Meathead, now that you have tried the BLACKBALL rules you can see that change for the Leven league is well overdue.
What about the rest of the guys that played in the singles league this year Any of you boys want to see change
The Leven boys that are playing in the Glenrothes league, what do you boys think Would you prefer BLACKBALL to be used in the Leven league
Get the ball rolling and get Stoo to take it to the Committee

Re: Venues - Douglas to Windsor
the blackball rules are alot better, its better pool all round, no rollin up behind balls and improves ur pottin, and its a change, what the league needs

change is good but there are a lot of players who don't want change, i asked a few players to play in the jathros league and some were in then changed there mind after i told them we were playing blackball rules.
i enjoyed the rule change personally but there are still some chaps not willing to change or will just lose interest and with a league of 15 and a half teams can we afford to lose anymore

These non changers need to try these rules, once they try them and play them for a while then they will see the benifits.
There were the same humps and haws when the Glenrothes league changed, but there is very very few that are still grumbling.
The moaners will not try them, so they need to be forced.

a big lose at our venue with you no taking part, but if you have doubles in kirkcaldy then fair enough.
Kieron was down to play at kirkland in the singles, if you see him let him know.
we play against the argyle at home 26th of february hope u and maybe kieron can get along for that one.

i hear the chap that went all the way to the final last season fell at the first hurdle last night to LAV in blazers which aint as big a shock as some may think as lav is capable in my opinion of beating anyone when hes on his game.
