Singles Entry Fee

The singles tournament i would say is the most popular. the cost of entry is £1 it has been for 20 years at least, i would like the entry fee increased to maybe £2 not a lot more but it would give it a better prize fund for those lucky enough to contest the final stages.
how much is a pint now compared to 20 years ago £2.30 today - I would guess about £0.80 20 years ago.

I think £3 is reasonable....no-one is that skint that they cannot afford to put that much in to enter the singles and it would maybe help stop those players that enter then dont bother coming along thats just my opinion tho....and im always skint sooooo........

I say why not have one tournament for the players who do consider pool to be a little bit more than a good thing to do on a night out. I think of pool as a good hobby as well as something to do as an excuse for a drink lol. So I say considering it's not a team event and people already do take it that little bit more seriously, let's have some decent cash for it, not because anyone needs the cash just to make it more interesting!!!

last time we tryed to get a increase in fee's to £2 was 2002 and was voted against by the league captains

the entry fee was included in a £30 fee for all the competitions last season, 2010-11 is £3 for the singles, in fact all the competitions are now £3, doubles, 3 man team

it may have been an idea to leave this increase for the singles only to see how many enter compared to the last couple of years
