Auld Hoose versus Brig

was this game played last sunday and if so who won , what wiz the score

The final was played last sunday in the brig and the auld hoose won the match. The brig had to field a weakened side as there were four of the main players working and unavailable. ( Deek, Brian, Craig and Tattie) The chairman didnt put his brain into the correct gear either by suggesting that all players had to be on the premises by 2pm even though it was obvious that the game couldnt go ahead until the football (old firm games) had finished as the pool table was covered up. A 2.30pm time would have been more of a realistic target and Im sure both teams would have agreed to this. 1 of our guys was en route (Kev) and missed the deadline by 5 minutes. (THINK next time Mr chairman). The brig got off to a good start but were clawed back and the windygates team won easy enough in the end. It will be a brave decision to say brig would have won with their strongest team out but now we will never know. I dont know what the brig scored as the drink was taking effect and I cant remember too much later on. Well done to the auld hoose on winning this event and we look forward to regrouping and renewing rivalries for next season.
