the question has to be asked what excuse do ahw have for being humped last thursday at home to the brig , they canny use "the table wiz pish" one, "blame the mickey mouse pish", "trampoline bags", "hole in the table", "you should have a spider" so what wiz it "were no interested in the league as were so far behind the leaders" all these excuses were given to blazers recently 7-0 honk honk
you boys fi ahw must be playing to much pool yez burnt yer sel oot is that it
it seems pointless teams like brig playing teams from the bottom half of the league, even teams in 4rth place get hammered by them
There was only ONE difference between the two teams on thursday night. - CLASS!

played the toll bar last night it will be along time before teams like them, kirkland, railway and the other team down at the bottom challenge for any kind of title ,
there should be a second division or a split at half way or everybody gets to play each other once and the bottom half play between themselves for the old second division.
then there is no easy matches in the runin to the title
10-1 v toll bar if we had a last man it would have been 11-0 cany mind any games being that close.
away at sunbeam this week should be a bit more of a challenge then the top two play each other the week after.

splits r s*** would be better as is or make 2 divisions from the start.

at last years agm most teams sayed no to 2 leagues i think the 2nd division teams think there losing out on something maybe the fact there pish
if you play each other once then your bottom of the league you canny argue your no gonna beat the top teams as someone said at the agm last season "any team can beat the league leaders" my arse , can you imagine empire beating brig no chance.
2nd division teams get less points money as well so that didnt go down well
if the teams in the bottom half had something to play for after a split it may be more enjoyable for them playing teams on par with there own.

very rare i agree with that baldy c*** stoo but i would like to see a split in the league halfway.......having to show up to play teams that r really s**** (without meanin to be disrespectful) is just a waste of time and i cant be the only one that gets bored on those nights.
i think the leven league needs a lot of big changes as it is miles behind any other league and the prize money is pretty shocking compared to anywhere else too.......
early retirement sounds like a plan

1st thing I would suggest is to get an even amount of games so that draws can b had, totally agree with what u and the Bampot r saying by the way. Tried a split in Glenrothes last year and it was ok but it was scrapped this year.
Better with 2 divisions from start rather than a split, then teams from the 2nd can gain promotion if they r good enough and if they r not good enough for promotion then they do not deserve to play the big teams anyway. They can't expect to get equal prize money in the 2nd division surely

Re: 2008/09 season - League Race
it all went well for blazers in the sunbeam tonight as they won the singles 7-1 with only lav getting beat by highly rated sharah from the beam , with the only defeat on the night that means a bottle of blacky young lav
all the doubles went blazers way to make the final score 10-1
that sets us up for what could possibly be a title decider next week against the champions brig

Someone from the toll has phoned in a dodgy result. 6 5 to the windsor last night. Hard lines last night to Blazers, was good to see a big crowd in for the game.

Re: 2008/09 season - League Race
As i congratulated most of the Brig team last night i wont bother here.
5 in a row ,never been done before (according to the league trophy but who knows what happened pre 1980) may never be done again
this seasons roll of honours and runner-ups
League - Brig
Runner-up Blazers
100 Ball - Brig
runner-up - Argyle
Singles - Blazers
runner-up - Brig
Doubles - Blazers
runner-up - Blazers
3 Man Team - Blazers
runner-up - Argyle
Captain Vice Captain - Blazers
runner-up - Brig
Jathros league - Blazers
runner-up - Blazer
75 Baw - Blazers
runner-up - Brig
with only the 5 man team to play for can any other team get to the final and stop what looks a 2 team domination with argyle runner-up in 2

Re: 2008/09 season - League Race
played the railway last night on 1st for us i looked at the chap i wiz playing but just got on wi it then while playing i heard his team mates cheering for my opponent "gone kirky" then i looked again kirky i thought, then again a bit of encouragement "shot stevie" .
wait a minute i'm playing steve kirk fife and motherwell he must be the most famous person i've ever played never mind beat
good game last night had a few laugh's about bell no getting to play but is the captain and crock always picking on him at the meetings
we went up with a respectable 7 players last night unlike last week with 3 men short (peem, bence, mints total off his tits)
won 8-3 in the end.
